Emma Chavez, Loan Officer

Emma Chavez began her career in community development in 2000, as an intern at Hispanic Housing Development Corporation in Chicago where she assisted in the development of affordable housing projects for seniors. Previously, Emma was a loan officer with the Low Income Investment Fund where she underwrote housing, child care and charter school projects. She also served as project manager at Community of Friends performing tasks necessary to bring supportive housing projects to fruition. Ms. Chavez obtained a masters degree in Urban Planning and Public Policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA.
